"One Mission One Sisterhood Empowering Communities Through Committed Service"

Dr. Betty Shabazz Academy/SEE Program

The Betty Shabazz Delta Academy began in 1997 for the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter. This national initiative focuses on at-risk teenage girls from 11-14 years of age. The program offers tutoring, mentoring and career guidance to girls who are economically disadvantaged. The program places a special emphasis on careers in math, science and technology.

The “Science and Everyday Experiences” (SEE) program is a national education initiative which focuses on science, mathematics and technology. This program supports informal science and math learning of African American children in grades K-8.
