Tallahassee Alumnae Today
The Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter is located in the capital city of Florida, the seat of the state government and political power. Nestled among the rolling hills of northwest Florida, Tallahassee is located in a region of the Florida Panhandle known as the Big Bend. It is centered just 20 minutes north of the Gulf of Mexico and south of the Georgia border.
Tallahassee is also an Educational Mecca, home of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (one of the newest scientific research labs in the country), two internationally known universities -- Florida A&M University, and Florida Sate University and a top ranked two-year college, Tallahassee Community College.
Tallahassee is also the home of two additional Delta chapters rich in their respective histories and diverse membership, which include the Beta Alpha Chapter at Florida A&M University and the Kappa Epsilon Chapter at Florida State University. Expanding Delta's reach, the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter supported the establishment of the nearby Thomasville Alumnae Chapter (GA) and Gadsden County Florida Alumnae Chapter (FL).
